Hey everyone! It was awesome meeting all of you. If I didn't meet you, my name is Joe Salami, and I am located at Field Support Activity in Washington Navy Yard. I graduated in May from the University of North Carolina.
Hopefully, this blog can be useful for us as we embark on this 28 month journey-- to share experiences, network, and organize meet-ups for people in the same homeport cities and during rotations. When signing on, add your location so that people in the same place can contact/notify you for upcoming activities (e.g., recreational, happy hours).

ReplyDeleteI work in Washington DC at the Navy Annex, across the street from the Pentagon. I work in Code N10, which is in BUPERS (Bureau of Personnel) for MPN (Military Personnel, Navy). We do everything related to the pay that goes to enlisted and officers in the Navy (e.g. salaries, special and incentive pays, PCS-Permanent Change of Station, etc.) We submit the Navy budget to FMB.

I had a great time at the orientation, it was awesome meeting everybody and I hope that we can all utilize resources like this blog to develop an maintain our relationships. I wish everyone could have been at that sky restaraunt place at the top of the hotel and watched me perform karaoke along with a few other interns.
